For over 20 years, Camp Bow Wow has been the gold standard in pet care, setting the benchmark for safety, fun, and reliable service in the $152 billion pet industry. But even an industry leader needs a fresh leash now and then. Recently, the iconic brand has rolled out its most significant transformation yet: a stunning brand refresh, a new business model, and a reduced investment range, all designed to make single and multi-unit ownership more accessible and profitable than ever.
Driving this excitement is the success story of franchisees like Tyler Keith, a multi-unit owner with three locations across Tennessee and Florida, who is already well on his way to securing plans for his fourth Camp in 2026. Tyler’s journey from corporate finance to multi-unit pet-care mogul is a testament to the enduring, recession-resistant appeal of Camp Bow Wow.
From Corporate Grind to Canine Champion
For Tyler, the passion for Camp Bow Wow started, as it so often does, with a dog.
“My introduction to Camp Bow Wow began over 13 years ago when my four-month-old Goldendoodle, Graham, required a dog daycare,” remembers Tyler. “I had heard great things about the downtown Nashville location, so I tried it out. It quickly became part of me and Graham’s daily life, especially as I was working in corporate finance and pulling long hours. Graham was always happy coming home from Camp.”

This simple, powerful bond planted a seed. Ready to leave the demanding corporate world, Tyler sought a path that would give him entrepreneurial control and link him to something he truly loved.
“Fast-forward a few years, when I was ready to leave the corporate world, I knew I wanted to be my own boss, and I have a deep love for dogs, so the Camp Bow Wow franchise was the clear answer,” he says.
Tyler opened his first Camp Bow Wow in Mt. Juliet, a suburb of his hometown of Nashville in 2018. It was an instant success and confirmed he made a great decision. A few years later, he opened his second Camp in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a town close to his heart because of deep family ties. To further his multi-unit journey, in 2024, he expanded his portfolio with a third Camp in Jacksonville, Florida.
Tragically, Tyler recently lost Graham, who lived a full life of 13.5 years, but his legacy remains the foundation of Tyler’s enterprise. “Graham is the reason I found out about Camp Bow Wow and the reason I love it so much,” Tyler reflects. “We also have Tucker pictured on the cover, who is about to turn nine, and he’s such a good boy who loves Camp too!”
Tyler’s trajectory from solo-camp success to a three-unit portfolio and the active pursuit of a fourth is precisely the one Camp Bow Wow hopes to replicate with its new growth strategy.
Welcome to Camp Life
Camp Bow Wow is taking advantage of the huge demand in the pet segment by making strategic changes that significantly reduce the barriers to entry and enhance profitability for franchisees.
The most visible change is a complete refresh of the brand. In mid-2025, Camp Bow Wow revealed a new logo, an exciting new tagline, and a stunning new design concept for its camps, including a new lobby that is bright, inviting, and optimized for the modern pet parent. This makes for a strategic positioning wherein the brand will be seen as forward-thinking and sophisticated, appealing to a broader demographic of customers while retaining its trusted, fun-filled spirit.
Introducing Flexibility and Accessibility
The most impactful changes for prospective franchisees come in the form of the business model itself. The new Camp Bow Wow model has been specifically designed for three crucial points: reduced investment, real estate flexibility, and additional revenue streams.
- Reduced Footprint, Lower Investment: By strategically implementing value engineering alongside the innovation of a reduced-footprint facility model, we have significantly lowered the initial investment range required to open a Camp. This critical cost reduction makes this proven franchise opportunity accessible to a wider pool of aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Real Estate and Design Flexibility: The new construction design allows for greater flexibility in real estate options and scalability in capacity. This design shift lets franchisees more easily and effectively source ideal locations in a variety of markets. More importantly, the design is inherently flexible; it enables Camp owners to update and adjust dog capacity and infrastructure as their business and local market demand grow.
- New Revenue Streams: The rising demand and evolving trends in the pet care industry have created new opportunities for additional revenue, allowing Camps to successfully expand their overall potential through a high adoption rate of these new services.
“It’s been such a fun and exciting ride getting to be a multi-unit owner and having a positive impact on so many dogs, their humans, and all of our staff that we have on our teams,” says Tyler. “I truly love what I do, and I’m hoping to secure my fourth location for a Camp in 2026. The more dogs that we get to play with, the more positive impact we are making on dogs and their humans’ lives.”
Tyler’s ambition to open his fourth unit with the new model is strong testimony, taking advantage of 20 years of brand recognition and reinvigorating it with not only a fresh look but also a more streamlined investment strategy.
Why Now Is the Time to Join the Pack
The pet industry continues to see explosive growth, and Camp Bow Wow—with its new investment model, flexible real estate options, and compelling new brand identity—is poised for dominance in the industry. For both single and multi-unit operators looking for an opportunity, the timing couldn’t be better.
- Proven Demand: The foundational model is very successful, as evidenced by the rapid growth of owners like Tyler Keith.
