Franchise Adds Veteran Food Industry Executive to Aid in Growth and Visibility
Penn Station East Coast Subs, a leading fast-casual sandwich restaurant franchise, announced Jay Farmer was recently hired as Director of Marketing.
Farmer will be responsible for the development and execution of Penn Station’s national marketing strategy and provide guidance on local store marketing plans. He will work closely with the company’s executive leadership team, marketing and franchise operations departments, individual franchisees, and agency partners to increase brand awareness, manage brand equities and standards to drive optimal business results.
Farmer comes to Penn Station with more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, leading marketing, sales operations and sales teams. He spent the past 10 years with Tyson Foods, most recently serving as Director of Customer Category Leadership & Insights.
Prior to his time with Tyson Foods, Farmer also worked in marketing, sales operations and category management leadership roles with AdvancePierre Foods, and JMFG – Smithfield Foods earlier in his career. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Communication and earned an MBA from Xavier University.
