Steve White's leadership has helped shape one of the nation's leading property restoration franchise networks, creating a foundation for Franchise Owner profitability, scalability, and success.

PuroClean's rise from a growing restoration franchise to a North American industry leader is inseparable from the impact of Steve White. Since joining the company as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2013, White has helped shape nearly every aspect of the organization, leading a period of significant growth while building a culture centered on Servant Leadership, strong unit-level performance, and Franchise Owner satisfaction.

One of White's first priorities upon joining PuroClean was listening to every Franchise Owner. Combining their firsthand experiences and feedback with his franchising expertise, White began transforming PuroClean into a stronger, more profitable network built around the needs and success of its Franchise Owners.

In recognition of his lasting contributions to the brand, its Franchise Owners, and the broader franchising community, White was named the inaugural inductee into the PuroClean Hall of Fame by company owners Mark W. Davis and Frank Torre at the brand’s 2026 International Convention.

Growth, Leadership, and Lasting Impact

White has consistently maintained three priorities throughout his leadership: Franchise Owner profitability first, satisfaction second, and responsible expansion third. This philosophy helped shape PuroClean's culture of Servant Leadership, Extreme Ownership, and Active Collaboration, guiding the investments and initiatives introduced during his tenure.

White helped grow PuroClean to 500 locations across North America, a milestone achieved by relatively few franchise brands. While the network more than doubled in size, system-wide sales grew fivefold, demonstrating his emphasis on unit-level economics rather than expansion alone.

Among his most significant contributions was establishing PuroClean's Business Development Team, which leverages national relationships with insurance carriers and strategic partners to generate direct assignment opportunities for Franchise Owners, contributing $80 million in completed work in 2025 alone.

White's personal approach has been pivotal, influencing Franchise Owners like Jerral Ingle, who joined in 2016 and was named PuroClean's latest Franchise of the Year. Ingle credits meeting with White as the deciding factor in his investment.

"Once I got the opportunity to sit down with Steve White, the President of PuroClean, he was my defining factor in investing in this company," Ingle said.

Investing in Franchise Owner Profitability

Under White’s leadership, PuroClean reduced the number of Franchise Owners assigned to each Regional Director, allowing for more individualized coaching and hands-on operational support. This increased attention has enabled Regional Directors to work more closely with PuroClean Franchise Owners on tracking key metrics, analyzing business performance, and identifying areas for improvement, all with the goal of strengthening financial performance.

White also launched PuroClean’s Online Academy, giving Franchise Owners and their teams access to training resources that improved efficiency in the field and helped streamline day-to-day operations. These are just a few of the initiatives White championed to help Franchise Owners maximize productivity, manage costs, and ultimately improve profitability.

A Hall of Fame Legacy

White's influence extends well beyond PuroClean. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for franchising through leadership roles with the International Franchise Association, serving on the IFA Board's Executive Committee, chairing both the VetFran Committee and the IFA Foundation Board of Trustees, and helping advance initiatives that support aspiring entrepreneurs nationwide.

As a U.S. military veteran himself, White has also been a strong supporter of PuroVet, PuroClean's veteran-focused initiative. Today, one in seven PuroClean Franchise Owners are veterans, and the program offers qualified veterans a 25% discount on the initial franchise fee, along with mentorship from fellow veteran Franchise Owners.

White's induction into PuroClean’s newly established Hall of Fame marks the beginning of a new tradition for the organization. The PuroClean Hall of Fame was established to recognize the individuals who have made an extraordinary impact on the brand, its culture, and its growth. In the years ahead, the Hall of Fame will continue to honor Home Office leaders, Franchise Owners, and other members of the PuroClean network whose leadership, service, and commitment embody the values that have helped shape the organization.

For White, one of the most meaningful aspects of the recognition is the opportunity to celebrate others in the future.

"While I am incredibly honored, what excites me most is seeing the Hall of Fame continue for years to come," White said. "The PuroClean network is filled with remarkable Franchise Owners whose dedication, innovation, leadership, and commitment to helping others deserve to be recognized. My hope is that the Hall of Fame becomes a way to elevate those Franchise Owners and share their stories, because they are the ones who make this brand truly special."

As the inaugural member of the PuroClean Hall of Fame, White's legacy can be measured in locations, sales, and industry recognition, but more importantly, by lives changed. He has helped build a stronger organization, championed Franchise Owner success, and created a legacy that continues to shape PuroClean, while inspiring future generations of Hall of Fame honorees.
