All in the Family: Daytona Franchisee’s Brother Opens Newest Truly Nolen Pest Control in Ocala
Grand Opening Ceremony featured Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Thursday March 6
Truly Nolen Pest Control recently opened in Ocala, Fla. The franchise is owned by Jonathan and Corinth Parker.
On Thursday, March 6th, the Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership hosted the Parkers and members of the Truly Nolen Franchise Division at the Chamber Office (310 SE 3rd Street, Ocala) for an official ribbon cutting welcoming them to the neighborhood. With this opening, Florida now has six Truly Nolen franchises, joining Jacksonville, Tallahassee, The Villages, Daytona Beach, and Gainesville (which hosted its ribbon cutting the day before).
Parker has 25 years of work experience in the automotive and financial planning industries. Wanting to build something that he could call his own after working for other companies throughout his career, his brother Terrance Parker, who opened the company’s Daytona Beach franchise in January 2024, counseled him on the possibility of opening his own franchise, which led to him purchasing the territory rights for Ocala and Marion County.
“I approached Terrance and told him I wanted a different future for my children, and I wanted to build something that I could call my own,” said Jonathan Parker. “He asked me if I had considered pest control, which I had not, and after speaking to my wife and praying about it, we opted to go forward as franchisees.”
The Tampa native and his wife are relocating to Ocala, and they are ready to make their new city home. “I am super excited about meeting my new neighbors, building relationships, and becoming part of the local Ocala community,” said Parker.
In his spare time, Parker loves to cook, watch movies, and read stories with his wife and their children.
