DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Reno has completed a full remodel of the men’s and women’s bathrooms at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9211, known locally as The Bunker, providing all labor at no cost to the Post. The project is part of DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen of Reno’s ongoing commitment to give back to local veterans and support community spaces that serve them.

To bring the renovation to completion, DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen partnered with its preferred vendors, including KCD, Sherwin-Williams, Hardware Resources, Ferguson, ZLine, and several local suppliers (Bedrosians Tile and Stone, D&L Tile and Sign and Design), who generously donated product and materials. With the bathrooms now complete, DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen will begin a full kitchen remodel next month, followed by the installation of approximately 4,000 square feet of new flooring to update and restore the historic 1947 building.

“Our veterans deserve spaces that reflect dignity, comfort, and care,” said Shawn Colvin, Owner of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Reno. “This project is a small way for our team and our vendor partners to honor their service and ensure the Post remains a welcoming place for the community.”

Shawn brings more than 35 years of remodeling expertise, a passion for design, and a long history of working on high-end residential projects nationwide. His wife and business partner, Dawn Colvin, serves as General Manager, drawing on her 30-year career in healthcare operations and business management to support DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen’s design and production teams. Together, Shawn and Dawn lead with a focus on service, craftsmanship, and building strong relationships with clients and the community.
